2B Continued Podcast presents and exposes the most creative artists of the Electronic Music Industry from Israel.
Nadav Ravid (AKA NDV) has already established himself as a well known, tasteful club and radio DJ (presenting the alternative music magazine on the most popular music station, GLGLZ), a music reviewer and member of the Polar Pair production duo.
Under the Polar Pair alias, Nadav has remixed the likes of Bonde Do Role, Black Devil Disco Club and Michelle Amador. Polar Pair have also released a couple of tracks on Tru Thoughts Records, and before that, they released an LP and EP.
Nadav’s Bootleg Remix for Yazoo’s “Don’t Go” (which was released through the notorious Rebtuz imprint) is still rocking dancefloors worldwide today. Locally, Nadav has produced and remixed a diverse roster of artists from the conscious rapper Quami, to chart toppers Metropolin through Rock’n’roll outfits like Electra – a compilation of his remixes for Israeli acts, called Shirbul, can be downloaded free here.
As a DJ, Nadav was the first to establish in Tel Aviv a freestyle approach to DJing, combining cutting edge sounds, funky beats and soulful elements, first with his weekly night, “SheLeG” (1998 – 2004), and later as part of Botanika.
Producing his own tracks mostly under the NDV moniker, Nadav has touched on cosmic disco (“Touchy Philly” on the excellent Milky Disco compilation via Lo recordings), broken beats and UK funky (on the Southbridge EP, via Botanika) and even acid tinged cumbia.
