Lönya is a Tel-Aviv based artist and dj . He is a co-founder of Asymmetric Recordings and the leading force behind Asymmetric Soul live-act , a leading Israeli soulful house l acts . While Lonya’s productions for Asymmetric Soul are more house -rooted and vocal-oriented , his own style ranges from uplifting tech house to deep and minimal melodic techno.
He starting djing in 2001 is Tel Aviv’s legendary Fetish Club and since then performed in top electronic venues and festivals in Israel both spinning and live with the band .
Lonya was born and raised in Moscow and from an early age he received musical education and training in piano and guitar .He was inspired by different kinds of music from classical to rock and jazz , from disco to hip-hop. He started his career as a guitarist /vocalist in the numerous grunge/punk bands in the 90’s but the synthesized sounds that emerged at that time influenced his musical perception and he shifted to computers and later graduated an Israeli Sound College specializing in electronic production and mixing .
Lonya’s discography includes music that was released on such labels as Elevation , Konsequenz Berlin , Bpitch Control and Guy Gerber’s Supplemental alongside Chaim , Richard Earshaw’s Guess Records and Defected together with James Blonde on Pete Tong’s Wonderland Ibiza 2010. His music supported and played by such top djs as, Hernan Cattaneo ,DJ Hell , DJ T, Technasia , Tiger Stripes , Guy J , Coyu , Gorge just to name the few .
